Cherished Futures 2022-23 Hospital Cohort
We are thrilled to be working with our second Cherished Futures cohort to engage in systems-level change in LA County! These hospitals collectively serve a significant proportion of Black birthing families across Los Angeles County and represent an exciting opportunity to create a large-scale impact towards birth equity.

Cherished Futures 2020-2021 Hospital Cohort
The 2020-2021 pilot Cherished Futures cohort launched against the backdrop of pivotal, historical events, including the COVID-19 pandemic, which disproportionately claimed the lives of Black Americans, to the rallying calls for racial justice following the murder of George Floyd and other unarmed Black Americans.
By the end of their two-year cohort experience, each of the hospitals demonstrated improvements in clinical and institutional practices. Hospital teams selected and implemented a myriad of improvement strategies including, intentional, deep-dive reviews of perinatal data by race/ethnicity, improving hypertension protocols, and establishing new partnerships with Black-led community-based organizations.
